Decoland is celebrating 10 years and presenting a new exhibition, collection, new brands, and a new catalog for the 2013-2014 season

The Decoland showroom welcomes the current season in a big way! For this year's tenth anniversary, Decoland has gifted itself a new exhibition showroom in Vinohrady and, of course, a new catalog full of brand new design delights. The interior of the Vinohrady showroom now decorates, in addition to well-established brands like Alessi, Scavolini, Cattelan, or Presotto, living room furniture from the Italian smart design furniture Calligaris, which will attract lovers of clean lines for urban living, kitchens and solid wood furniture from the Austrian brand Team7, whose minimalist and precise craftsmanship respects the uniqueness of wood and nature generally, and has been awarded many design awards such as the Red Dot Award and Good Design Award, and Swiss seating furniture De Sede known for its refined and elegant craftsmanship with a sense of detail, representing years of proven practices combined with completely timeless and modern design.

The representatives of Decoland did not choose the new additions to their design stable by chance; both Calligaris furniture and Team7 and De Sede all have a completely characteristic design potential. The philosophy of Team7, the Austrian brand of kitchens and furniture for dining rooms, living rooms, bedrooms, and children's rooms, is based on respect for the uniqueness and unrepeatability of wood, its structure and grain in combination with the latest trends in design and innovative manufacturing processes. Team7 offers everything from kitchens, dining tables, chairs to a range of home entertainment focused on TV units and tables, coffee and writing desks, to beds, dressers, wardrobes, and bookcases. Team 7 furniture is made from walnut, cherry, oak, maple, beech, and alder wood. The trees themselves and their character serve as inspiration for Team7 in their further processing and finishing, whereby their unique grain and structure are fully acknowledged and preserved. With each piece of Team7 furniture, with its knots and growth rings, one metaphorically brings a piece of nature home. The furniture is made without the use of formaldehydes so that the wood can breathe, and the surface is treated with oils. As a result, Team7 furniture is a completely "healthy" companion even for allergy sufferers. Team7 places emphasis on careful control of wood before production; sorting is done by hand and then processed by experienced carpenters and joiners who love wood. All joints are wooden, minimizing the use of metal, and wooden panels and boards come exclusively from Team7's production. The Italian living room furniture originally by the Italian family company Calligaris with the subtitle "Italian smart design" will appeal to lovers of uncomplicated yet refined urban living style and offers countless tables, chairs, armchairs, and dressers with smart storage solutions in various materials and colors, featuring a distinct design identity. The Swiss premium leather seating brand de Sede appeals to those who prefer precise handcrafted work, timeless design, elegance, and ageless materials. De Sede offers true furniture gems that are a completely contemporary and modern interpretation of the best and most verified practices in furniture design.

Decoland has planted several significant primarily Italian brands of furniture and accessories on the Prague design map over its ten years of existence, such as Alessi, Scavolini, Presotto, Valentini, Milano Bedding, Ditre, Moretti Compact, and newly Team7, Calligaris, and De Sede, and since 2003 has been advocating for improving design awareness and the culture of living in the Czech Republic. The Decoland Design Interiors showrooms are located in Prague's Vinohrady and in Průhonice. Decoland has also introduced Danish furniture and accessories from BoConcept to the Czech market with branded showrooms in Vodičková Street in Prague, Modřice in Brno, Ostrava, and newly in Prague's Černý Most Center.

• working with the best designer – nature. The wood of Team7 furniture comes from sustainably managed forests in Upper Austria. The furniture is made without the use of formaldehydes so that the wood can literally breathe, and oil is used for surface treatment. Thanks to this, Team7 furniture is a completely "healthy" companion even for allergy sufferers.

• respect for nature in general, its uniqueness and unrepeatability – each piece of Team7 furniture is original and unrepeatable, just like the growth rings of trees. It combines the best of design with innovations. Evidence of this are design awards such as the Red Dot Design Award, Good Design Award, or Interior Innovation Award Cologne.

• respect for human hands as the irreplaceable and most precious working tool and for the craftsmanship tradition – the material is hand and carefully sorted, stored, and subsequently processed by experienced carpenters and joiners who love wood. All joints are wooden, minimizing the use of metal. Wooden panels and boards come exclusively from Team7's production.

• no two pieces of furniture are identical, just as no two trees are the same. Every piece of wood we work with has its own distinct character, which we respect – whether it's walnut, cherry, oak, maple, beech, or alder. The trees themselves serve as inspiration for Team7 in their further processing and finishing. Each piece of furniture thus becomes a unique piece of nature in your home – every knot or growth ring is a sign of a unique life.

Emphasis at Team7 is placed exclusively on controllable local and European wood production, using solvent-free oils, and the sawdust and shavings that arise during furniture production are further used as fuel in the Team7 factory.
