Kuba&Pilař architects

The architectural duo Ladislav Kuba and Tomáš Pilař have participated in numerous architectural competitions since 1996, with victories in competitions serving as the primary source of projects for the office.
At the beginning of their collaboration stands the small structure chapel of Our Lady Queen in Jestřebí. This small building shifted the perspective on new constructions of religious buildings and became a great inspiration for many architects. A few years later, the architects reconstructed the town hall in nearby Brtnice. In 2002, they managed to impress the jury of the Grand Prix of the Union of Architects with the library of the Faculty of Philosophy at Masaryk University in Brno, winning awards in almost all categories. Among their most recent projects is the Omega department store in Brno. The Kuba & Pilař studio has succeeded in crossing the borders of their home region: they are currently completing the residential complex Na Krutci designed by them in Prague.
