The Board of the Czech Architecture Foundation is organizing a discussion roundtable on January 24, 2011, at 2:00 PM in the Jaroslav Fragner Gallery in Prague on the topic:

The Future of Architecture Galleries

Possibilities for Presenting Architecture Today

The subject of the roundtable is an open discussion about the possibilities and needs of the contemporary Czech architectural scene. Experiences from curators of architectural activities, operators of architectural galleries and centers, and perspectives on the current architectural scene through the eyes of journalists will be presented. At the end of the event, an open dialogue should develop, aimed at defining the needs of the community.

Roundtable Program:

1/ Introductory Block 14:00
Presentation of the Czech Architecture Foundation, the reasons that lead the foundation to organize the event, the economic possibilities of the foundation, and the functioning of the Jaroslav Fragner Gallery in Prague and the Architecture Gallery in Brno in the past and the current model.

2/ Ways of Presenting and Promoting Architecture 14:20
