Prague - Employees of nearly two-thirds of domestic companies would prefer to work in separate offices, but in reality, they spend their working hours in such offices in only one-third of companies. This is evident from a survey conducted by the GfK agency for Skanska Property Czech Republic. The desire to work in separate offices was expressed by employees in 64 percent of companies, while they actually have access to them in 32 percent of businesses. Forty-one percent of Czech companies expect to have more employees in office buildings in a year. Only six percent of the surveyed companies expect a decrease. One-third of companies stated that they will need more office space in the upcoming year. Seven percent of firms anticipated that their need for administrative space would decrease compared to now. In deciding on the type of office, ecology is starting to gain importance. Representatives from about 78 percent of companies in the Czech Republic believe that environmental issues will play an increasingly significant role in the choice of office. The survey focused on the requirements and opinions regarding office spaces. It took place during last October and November among 600 companies in the Czech Republic, Poland, and Hungary. Each country was represented by 200 firms. The surveyed companies had more than 50 employees or at least 500 square meters of office space; some companies met both criteria.
