Brno - Energy savings and ways to finance their projects will be the main topics of the upcoming IBF and SHK Brno construction fairs and the Mobitex furniture fair this year during the global economic crisis. This year, about 1,100 companies will participate in the trio, which is fewer than last year.
"The fairs reflect the situation in the economy; it is impossible to pretend that companies everywhere are having problems while the number of exhibitors here is growing," said Ostrá. "We have recorded a smaller number of companies. On the other hand, they are preparing more and ensuring that their participation is effective," she added.
The IBF, SHK Brno, and Mobitex fairs are being held together for the first time this year. The IBF and SHK Brno events were held last year alongside the Urbis Invest investment opportunities fair. A total of 1,300 companies from 21 countries, including the National Building Center EDEN, were presented. Last year, the Brno exhibition center welcomed 80,500 people. The year before, it was 95,000 people. The Mobitex fair involved 219 companies from eight countries last year. It was held alongside the Prodítě fair and the Fishing exhibition, attracting more than 60,000 visitors.
"Construction this year is not addressing how and with whom to build, but the acquisition of financing. This will be reflected in various discussions as well as in the exhibits," Ostrá believes. "The main topics are energy savings, financing issues, and PPP (Public Private Partnership) projects, as well as consulting centers," she added.
