Water wall on a floating pontoon for Vláčil's films

Prague - Sequences from the most famous films of František Vláčil, Valley of the Bees and Marketa Lazarová, will be screened on a water wall that will be installed on the Vltava River. This unusual projection will be part of the accompanying program of the exhibition about Vláčil, which started last week at the Imperial Stable at Prague Castle. In the center of Prague, the screenings on water will be available from February 21 to 23, every day from 18:00 to 21:00. CTK informed about this on behalf of the organizers by Martina Reková.
    The water wall will be placed on a floating pontoon on the Vltava near the Manes Bridge and the AAAD (Academy of Art, Architecture and Design). The projection will be best visible from Charles Bridge when looking downstream of the Vltava. In the evening, the water wall is almost invisible, creating the impression that the unframed image rises from the water, promise the organizers.
    According to them, the unique double-wall system creates the illusion of a three-dimensional image. After the three days in February, the organizers promise more screenings in March and April.
    The screenings in the basement of the Imperial Stable include short documentaries either dedicated directly to the person of František Vláčil or lesser-known documentaries filmed by Vláčil. They will be accessible to visitors of the exhibition for free from February 22 upon presentation of a ticket from the exhibition.
    Films such as In the Net of Time by František Uldrich or Genus by director Karel Smyczek, Vláčil's debut Glass Clouds, or his film Art Nouveau Prague made during the normalization period will be screened.
    In the hall of the Mladota House on Vikářská Street, screenings of Vláčil's key films Valley of the Bees, Marketa Lazarová, Devil's Trap, and Dove will take place throughout the duration of the exhibition. The entrance fee for these screenings is 50 crowns, and every visitor to the exhibition has one screening included for free with the ticket price.
