In the industrial zone in Přerov, family houses may be built

Olomouc - The Přerov City Hall is considering offering the industrial zone in the suburban area of Újezdec to people for the construction of family houses. The city has spent 25 million crowns on the zone, but for four years it has been unsuccessful in finding an investor to start a business there, writes today’s Přerovský deník.
    "If no interested party is found in the near future, I think it would be appropriate to designate this area for the construction of family houses," said the deputy mayor of the city, Josef Kulíšek. According to him, several dozen houses could be built on the nine-hectare plot. Building sites would cost less than 200 crowns per square meter.
    In the past, four investors engaged in engineering showed interest in the Přerov industrial zone. According to Zdeněk Kadlec from the legal department of the Přerov City Hall, there are currently only three parties interested in the location, and negotiations with them will continue in the coming days.
    In contrast, the city hall in Hranice, near Přerov, expects great interest in business in the industrial zone. They have allocated an area in the Potštátská location for several years, but this year the city leadership is returning to the idea and plans to allocate one million crowns from the budget for it. "We want to now provide utilities to the lands and offer them to entrepreneurs," said Hranice deputy mayor Radka Ondriášová. The Jaslo barracks, which has already been vacated by the military garrison, should also be utilized in the same way. The army has offered to transfer the entire facility to the city for a symbolic amount.
