In Prague, there will be a worldwide congress of architects in 2032

Prague – In 2032, a global architectural congress will be held in Prague, organized every three years since 1948 by the International Union of Architects (UIA). Today, based on a successful candidacy facilitated by the Czech Chamber of Architects, the council of the capital city approved it. The organization is associated with the right to use the title World Capital of Architecture. The city will pay a total of 870,000 euros (about 21 million crowns) to the UIA in annual installments until 2032.

"Prague successfully hosted this congress in 1967 and was approached by the UIA to bid for the congress in 2032. The hosting of the congress is associated with obtaining a title, which represents a significant opportunity for the international presentation of the city and its architectural, cultural, and urban heritage," states the document approved by the councilors. According to it, Prague won the candidacy over Dubai.

The International Union of Architects is an organization founded in 1948 in Switzerland that brings together non-governmental organizations from more than 120 countries worldwide. It is headquartered in Paris.
