Lány (Kladensko) - In Lány, Kladensko, next September, Real-Invest Franc will hand over the first house from the project U Lánské obory. By 2012, several dozen terraced and detached family homes, six apartment buildings, a building with a multipurpose hall, and two buildings with nursing services will be built here on an area of 80,000 square meters. The expected investments will approach the amount of 500 million crowns, said the company’s managing director Jiří Franc today to ČTK. In Lány, about 500 people should move in, bringing the number of residents in the municipality, which has been the seat of presidents since 1921, close to 2000. "It will not be a satellite town, but a modern residential area of the 21st century," said the mayor of Lány, Karel Sklenička, during today's public presentation of the project, stating that the municipality has the advantage of already having gas, sewage, and wastewater treatment facilities completed. "We do not have problems like other municipalities and can focus on further development," he added. In the first phase from 2008 to 2009, 22 terraced houses should be built on 25,000 square meters in the Kopanina area, each including a plot for about six million crowns. Builders have already begun to construct engineering networks here. In the second phase, in addition to houses and apartments, a small square, pedestrian zone, access road, and bike path should be created. A better connection of the area near the Křivoklátsko Protected Landscape Area with Prague, located just under 40 kilometers away, will be provided by the R6 expressway starting in 2009. According to data from the Czech Statistical Office, the completion of apartments significantly increased in the Central Bohemian Region in the third quarter. Builders completed 2,134 apartments, which was the highest number in the whole of the Czech Republic.
