Prague - New figures have appeared on the traffic lights for pedestrians in Prague. Standard red and green figures were replaced in a single day by, for example, a legless man, a woman in a skirt, or a hanged person. The figures changed their appearance at around fifty locations in the capital. According to TV Prima, this is an unauthorized action by a young artist. The company responsible for the traffic lights is now calculating the damage and preparing for their removal.
The author of the figures told Prima that he only helped the figures out of their "straitjacket." "Maybe they've just given up and said they no longer want to live in that pretense and that they will show others that it's necessary to relax," he stated.
The swap was reportedly carried out in just one day and sometimes with the assistance of the unsuspecting city police. "It's an unprofessional intervention that could have at least caused a failure of the entire intersection," warned Jan Rafaj, spokesman for Eltodo, the company responsible for the traffic lights in Prague.
