Josef Panna elected as the chairman of the Czech Chamber of Architects

The Board of the Czech Chamber of Architects elected a new chairman of this professional organization at its meeting on May 15, 2012, who is architect Josef Panna. New members of all self-governing bodies of the Czech Chamber of Architects were elected at the General Assembly of the Czech Chamber of Architects on April 21, 2012. From these, the chairpersons and vice-chairpersons of the Board of the Czech Chamber of Architects, the Supervisory Board of the Czech Chamber of Architects, and the Disciplinary Court of the Czech Chamber of Architects are being elected these days.
Josef Panna (*1967) He graduated from the Faculty of Architecture at the Brno University of Technology. He completed his internship at Ranný Architects and SIAL architects and engineers. In 1996, he founded his own studio - now PXP GROUP. He is the author of several projects, studies, and competition designs (e.g. 1st prize for the reconstruction of Lower Square in Opava, 1st prize in the competition for the Congress Center in Rajec). Among the more significant projects, we can mention residential complexes in Liberec, Poděbrady, Žilina, and Banská Bystrica, Czech Radio in Pardubice, and the reconstruction of the building of St. Agnes of Bohemia in Pardubice. Josef Panna became a member of the Czech Chamber of Architects in 1996. In the previous period, he worked on the Supervisory Board of the Czech Chamber of Architects (as its chairman from 2010 to 2011), and at the General Assembly of the Czech Chamber of Architects in April of this year, he was elected to the Board. Josef Panna will serve as the chairman of the Czech Chamber of Architects until the next elections in May 2013.
