Prague - Prague Castle will traditionally open the Old Royal Palace and all other visitor attractions for free during the symbolic start of the summer tourist season on Saturday, May 12. This year, the representative spaces in the New Royal Palace will also be accessible. Exhibitions organized for the 100th anniversary of the founding of Czechoslovakia will also be freely accessible. This was announced today by David Šebek, spokesperson for the Administration of Prague Castle.

Next Saturday, people will be able to visit for free between 09:00 and 18:00, alongside the Old Royal Palace with the Vladislav Hall, the Basilica of St. George and the Golden Lane featuring a permanent exhibition. For liturgical reasons, the last entry to St. Vitus Cathedral will be at 17:00. Entry to the representative spaces on the first floor of the New Royal Palace, which include the Spanish Hall and the Throne Room, will be through a special entrance from Hradčanské Square.

Visitors will also be able to explore the exhibition "Through the Labyrinth of the History of the Czech Lands" in the Imperial Stable and the exhibition "About the Exhibition of Josip Plečnik 1996" in the space under Plečnik's viewpoint in the South Gardens. The exhibition project "Touches of Statehood," which will begin on Thursday in the Riding School, will also be accessible.

A brass band festival is prepared for visitors in the third courtyard on Saturday. "There will be a program for children in the Deer Moat," added Šebek. They will see demonstrations of bird of prey training.
