No interest was shown today in the cultural monument in Brno at the auction for 25 million

Brno - The historic building at the corner of Milady Horákové and Koliště streets in Brno, which is a cultural heritage site, was not sold at auction today. None of the interested parties were willing to pay the 25 million crowns that the owner, IMPS a.s., requested. Juraj Tréger from Realspektrum, which oversaw the auction, told ČTK.
According to Tréger, the owner is considering repeating the auction. "We will negotiate the conditions," he stated. According to him, it is also possible to lower the starting price of the property. Tréger further mentioned that interest in the house prior to the auction exceeded the company's expectations. Over 20 companies contacted the auctioneer. One of the reasons is the attractive location of the house in the city center.
The house was built according to the auction announcement in 1868 as part of the developing city ring road. It was modernized 100 years later. The area where the auctioned property is located is assessed as attractive. Opposite the house on the corner of the same streets, a hotel is set to be built. The investor has already demolished an older unused building that was on the site. The house that was offered at auction today was valued by an expert at 29.6 million crowns. The property covers a footprint of 343 square meters, with usable floor space exceeding 1,000 square meters.
IMPS a.s., which is selling the house, was established in 1992 according to its website as one of the parts of the delimited concern ZVS Brno. The company's main activities have primarily been commercial and engineering. Today, the company is involved in the fields of education, accommodation, and commercial activities.
