Moravská Třebová (Svitavsko) - After a hundred years, another tall structure is likely to return to the site of the former lookout tower Na Pastvisku above Moravská Třebová. The town hall hopes that the newly built lookout tower will revitalize the area for tourists. This was said today by Mayor Josef Ošťádal.
    "We can really be proud of our beautiful landscape. In good weather, tourists can observe the Jeseníky, Orlické mountains, and the Hřebeč massif from the viewpoint," said the mayor.
    Before the actual construction of the lookout tower begins, the town is processing the necessary permits and intends to obtain a grant from the Pardubice region. The construction is expected to cost over 2.6 million crowns. It could open next season, said Karel Musil from the investment and regional development department.
    "We expect the lookout tower to be open from spring to autumn. The tower will be 27 meters tall and its main load-bearing elements will be wooden. The designer proposed a steel and spiral staircase," Musil said. Architecturally, the lookout tower is designed to require minimal maintenance.
    Lookout points are a relatively inexpensive means in the Pardubice region to offer tourists another excursion spot. In the Proseč area, there are even three - Toulovcova lookout tower, Terezka, and Borůvka. In recent years, about ten lookout towers have been built in the region, for example, the well-hidden lookout tower of Jára Cimrman in Březová in Svitavsko or the lookout tower on Křížová mountain in Červená voda in Orlickoústecko.
