A digital encyclopedia of Prague is to be created on the internet

Prague - The capital city is preparing a digital encyclopedia that will provide detailed descriptions of the Prague Monument Reservation and its surroundings on the internet in several languages. Councilor Milan Richter (ODS) informed journalists about this. The encyclopedia is intended to serve tourists, but also historians, conservationists, students, and other people.
    "It is a unique project that will serve to present the capital city of Prague," Richter stated. According to him, people will find general information as well as data on individual sites, their architecture, history, artistic significance, and more in the encyclopedia.
    The creation of the encyclopedia will be preceded by data collection. In a trial operation, data about the Old Town Hall, the Church of St. Nicholas in Old Town Square, Prague Castle, Charles Bridge, and the former Jewish ghetto have already been entered into the database. However, it is not yet clear when people will be able to view the complete encyclopedia.
    This year, the city has allocated 121.6 million crowns for the project in its budget.
    The encyclopedia is part of a large-scale project called Prague in the Information Age, which aims to make municipal agendas accessible on the internet.
