Pardubice – The leadership of the Pardubice I Municipal District wants to initiate the declaration of a construction moratorium on building within the inner courtyards on Sakařova Street. They are trying to impede the plans of an investor who wants to build apartment buildings in the enclosed area between the villas. This was agreed upon by the council of the municipal district at its extraordinary meeting.
Similar projects are already excluded by the newly prepared zoning plan. "The Office of the Municipal District I will immediately begin the necessary formal actions in cooperation with renowned experts in the field of architecture and construction law so that it can present this initiative to the City Council of Pardubice," stated the district leadership.
Dozens of residents of Sakařova Street oppose the construction of apartment buildings. They do not want to lose the green space with a playground, benches, or a sandpit for children. According to Deputy Mayor Petr Kvaš (ODS), who is responsible for the zoning plan, the intention does not contradict valid rules. The municipal district could act as a participant in the proceedings.
