Litoměřice - The reconstruction of the Rozmarýn children's and youth house, costing nearly seven million crowns, is being prepared by the Litoměřice city hall. A portion of the costs will be covered by a state subsidy. The revitalization of the building will contribute to reducing its energy requirements, said city spokesperson Eva Břeňová to ČTK. Construction work will begin at the start of June and will last throughout the summer holidays.

The revitalization of Rozmarýn continues previous projects from 2015, when renovations were done to the buildings of four kindergartens and one elementary school. The city obtained a grant from the State Environmental Fund. "We managed to obtain financial support amounting to nearly 2.3 million crowns. The remaining approximately 4.5 million will come from the city budget," said Deputy Mayor of Litoměřice Václav Červín (Sport and Health Litoměřice) to ČTK.

As part of the revitalization, windows will be replaced in the children's and youth house, the facade and roof of the building will be insulated, on which a small photovoltaic power plant will be installed. "The project includes the installation of new air conditioning and partial reconstruction of the existing heating system. The entire project will significantly contribute to reducing the building's energy demands and will increase user comfort for almost a thousand children who visit this leisure facility year-round," added Břeňová.

The reconstruction will affect the annual day camps at Rozmarýn. "They will take place in alternative spaces, although in a different regime than parents and children were used to in previous years," added the director of Rozmarýn, Zuzana Bendová.

In addition to the children's and youth house, this year Litoměřice is also revitalizing the Mašinka kindergarten on Vančurova Street. In this case, the costs amount to approximately two million crowns. "In the case of the villa-type building located in the protective zone of the urban monument reserve, the windows will be replaced and the attic spaces will be partially insulated," added Břeňová.
