Prague - On the occasion of the national holiday commemorating the burning of Master Jan Hus, today people can visit one of the oldest buildings in Prague's Hradčany district - Hrzánský Palace. This historical building serves representative purposes for the government and the Prime Minister. The open house begins at 09:00, and the last guided tour will be at 16:00. Due to the favorable coronavirus situation, the government is once again opening all its villas and palaces; last weekend, people could visit Kramář's Villa.

Hrzánský Palace is part of the row development on Loretánská Street. The building is named after Count Sigismund Valentin Hrzán of Harras, who acquired it in the early 18th century. After World War II, the palace was radically modified for the representative purposes of the Ministry of Information and Education, later the Government Presidium.

Open house days for historical sites of the government office are returning after a pause caused by the coronavirus epidemic and will take place throughout the summer. The government organizes regular Saturday tours at Kramář's Villa, Hrzánský Palace, and the Liechtenstein Palace, where visitors can also see an exhibition of protocol gifts from the Prime Minister. In September and October, it will be possible to visit the sites on the first Saturday of the month and on national holidays. The open house days will culminate on November 17th in celebration of the Day of Struggle for Freedom and Democracy.

In September, the main seat of the government office, Strakova Akademie, will also be accessible, among other events celebrating the Day of Czech Statehood on September 28th. Another site, Beneš's Villa in Sezimovo Ústí, will be open to visitors from September 4th until the end of October on both weekend days.
