Kupařovice (Brno region) - The Baroque castle in Kupařovice in the Brno region is for sale again. The monument, valued at 19 million crowns, is being offered in an auction with a reduced starting price of nine million. Czech News Agency (ČTK) learned this from the auction announcement published on www.centralniadresa.cz. In previous auctions, there was no interest in it.
The castle, along with the surrounding buildings, has been auctioned several times, originally with a starting price of 22 million CZK. Later, the administrator lowered the price by four million. Most recently, the monument was auctioned last spring with a starting price of 16.56 million crowns.
"It's a specific property, not everyone will go for it," previously stated ČTK the administrator of the bankruptcy estate of the failed company AG-ING, Dana Cigánková. Moreover, the buildings are being auctioned without land, which is owned by the state.
The three-story castle in Kupařovice was built in the first half of the 18th century according to a design by František Antonín Grimm for the Dietrichstein family. The complex includes, besides the castle building, five other structures, primarily residential spaces and warehouses. In the past, the complex served as an educational center. The auction will take place on June 3 at the Avanti hotel in Brno.
