Křtiny (Blanensko) - Křtiny in Blanensko attract tourists with the restored castle park. It is a previously significantly neglected three-hectare area, the renovation of which cost ten million crowns. It neighbors the Baroque church of the Name of the Virgin Mary, which is one of the most famous pilgrimage churches in Moravia. The park, church, and castle are the work of the builder Jan Blažej Santini, said Pavel Mauer from the School Forest Enterprise of Mendel University to ČTK.

The castle serves foresters, primarily as a social and educational center. Its restored park will be open to the public. The restoration of this space began last spring.
It was necessary to tear down some old buildings, cut down aged and overgrown trees, and uproot stumps. Numerous new paths and resting places have been created. There was abundant new planting.
The complex consisting of the church and the castle is among Santini's peak works. The church is nicknamed the Pearl of Moravia and its floor plan was supposed to take the shape of a Greek cross. However, one of its wings was not built.
The church stands on the site where, according to legend, the apostles St. Cyril and Methodius baptized the first believers. That is how the town gained its name. The castle with the park served as the residence of the leadership of the influential order of Premonstratensians from the Zábrdovice district of Brno.
