Contest for the positions of heads of Architecture Studios III and IV at VŠUP

The Rector of the Academy of Art, Architecture and Design in Prague announces a selection procedure for the position:

1. Head of Studio of Architecture III (full-time)
2. Head of Studio of Architecture IV (full-time)

The announced selection procedure offers a unique opportunity to create an optimal composition of the Department of Architecture, which is one of the main fields at UMPRUM. The diversity of profiles of individual leading personalities and their approach to creation and teaching will be a very important evaluation criterion.

Requirements: University education in the field of architecture, experience in the field
Expected start date: October 1, 2011

Course of the selection procedure
The selection procedure is in three rounds. In the first round, the committee will assess the submitted materials and select candidates for the second round, which will take place in the form of a brief interview with the admissions committee (approximately 15 minutes). Based on the committee's decision, the selected candidates will advance to the third round. This consists of a public lecture in front of the academic community lasting 30 minutes.
It is essential that candidates who succeed in the first round reserve the entire day for the subsequent rounds of the selection procedure.
2nd round - June 10, 2011 in the morning (the exact schedule will be announced in due time)
3rd round - June 10, 2011 in the afternoon

The results of the selection procedure will be communicated to candidates by standard means by June 30, 2011.
