To the Park - a new portal about landscape architecture

The portal Do parku invites you to visit parks as well as streets, squares, riverbanks, playgrounds, and the gardens of schools and kindergartens. Everywhere you can see public spaces that are well designed. In addition to urban spaces, the site also features places in the landscape that involve architectural or landscape interventions.

The database publishes contemporary realizations of landscape architecture in the Czech Republic. Selected projects aim to present the foundations of the designs and showcase their authors, who are often relatively unknown. It also emphasizes specific aspects of the field, primarily the consideration of site conditions and working with living natural elements and their variability over time. The goal of the portal is to showcase high-quality design and diverse landscape solutions based on the current state of the Czech landscape.

Projects can be searched using a map or in the database, with sorting options by location, authors, or typology of buildings. The portal is an open, developing platform that you can join - project information, visual documentation, and texts are directly submitted by the authors. Events such as seminars, workshops, lectures, exhibitions, publications, and other news in the field can be sent to the editorial office for regular updates.

Thanks to the multitude of projects, the full range of landscape architecture is already emerging, from small-scale to large projects. Strategic plans, large landscape projects, water management in the landscape and city, and the publication of texts are planned for future phases of development. The portal project is supported by the Czech Association for Landscape Architecture (ČAKA) and other invited experts.
