Most - With the fifth year of the Young for Young theater festival, the city theater in Most will celebrate thirty years of existence of its new theater building. The stage will feature comedies, musicals, physical theater, pantomime, and fairy tales. The six-day festival begins on September 28. Details were provided to ČTK by the theater spokesperson Ivana Bonaventurová. Actors had a stable stage in Most as early as 1911, but the building had to give way to coal mining in the 1960s. A new theater building was created based on the design by architect Ivo Klimeš. It stands out for its exceptional acoustics, a stage 27 meters deep, and two revolvable platforms. The variability is also supported by moving portal towers. The auditorium has a capacity of 500 seats. In the coming week, people will fill it to see the art of young theater artists. The festival will start with a lantern parade. There will be a pantomime by the Teplice Theater in a Bag, and the local ensemble will perform a newly staged play Ballad for a Bandit with live music and singing. During the festival, the Damúza Prague studio, Švandovo Theater, Buchty and Puppets Theater, Body Voice Band ensemble, and others will visit Most. The second Most theater scene, Theater of Diversity, is preparing entertainment for children. The production Benefit or Save Your African will be performed by the Ústí Činoherák. The festival's conclusion will also feature Ivo Klimeš, the author of the theater's architectural design, who will open his traveling exhibition Architecture and Theater with a unique visual accompaniment about the history of the construction of the theater in the Gallery foyer. Interested parties can find details of the program on the theater's website.
