Developer changed the project in the Višňovka housing estate in Pardubice

Pardubice - The development company has revised the project for two apartment buildings that disturbed the residents of the Višňovka housing estate in Pardubice. Dozens of people criticized the five-story building in a petition, citing loss of green space and increased parking. According to the company's vice-chairman Jan Tichý, the residents of the housing estate should no longer have objections.
    "The project should be adjusted so that it truly does not limit or harm anyone, and so that it improves the environment there," Tichý said to ČTK.
    The company plans to build two apartment buildings with 14 apartments in one of the courtyards of the housing estate. The construction will replace an older two-story building with several apartments. The developer has reduced the height of the new construction, added playgrounds, and increased greenery, Tichý added.
    The development plans have already been considered by the building office, which eventually rejected the project in its original form because it was not in accordance with the zoning plan. The mayor of the fifth district, Jaroslav Kňava, fears that further densification of construction in the courtyard will threaten "the comfort of living." Therefore, he has called a meeting of the developer's representatives, the public, and the administration for Wednesday.
    "The company should definitely negotiate with the people and discuss the project with them. If they follow the rules, it is not within my authority to prohibit them from anything," Kňava said.
