The aim is to gather information about new constructions, reconstructions, or other building modifications of all types of libraries, including visual documentation. The database will provide an overview of newly built and reconstructed libraries from 1992 to the present. Each record contains a set of standard information about the project carried out, including details about total costs, contacts for suppliers, architects, and designers. Records of libraries taken from the original database of Library Construction and Reconstruction, managed by SKIP along with the National Technical Library until around 2005, were used as a basis. The creation of the database was supported by the Ministry of Culture as part of the VISK1 project.
