The magazine Newsweek published an interview with the outstanding American architect whose parents had Chinese roots. Maya Lin became famous at the age of 21 when she stood out among 1,400 other designs and won the competition for the Vietnam War Memorial. That was 25 years ago. Today, the memorial is the most visited site in Washington, and next month this structure will receive the 25-Year-Award from the American Institute of Architects. Editor Cathleen McGuigan asked Maya Lin what has changed in her life since the Vietnam Veterans Memorial.
Maya Lin expertly manages designs for small books as well as large park projects. Her homes are crafted to perfection and unique in the way the architect thinks about the commission. Link>
