The exhibition presents 40 years of the restored independent Faculty of Architecture at the Czech Technical University in Prague, summarizing its history in a symbolic form through a selection of 40 buildings by the school's teachers and graduates, 66 personalities from their ranks, and the names of 4,389 graduates who have studied here in the past 40 years.
Most of the generally known works of the teachers and graduates are complemented by comparisons with period school works – the visitor can thus compare the beginnings and results of their architectural work. The visually attractive aspect is also the retrospective comparison of graphic styles and techniques in the presentation of student works and their development over the past period up to contemporary computer graphics.
The exhibition is further supplemented by moments from the life of the school and activities of the Students' Association of Architecture, a new book publication prepared by teachers or graduates of the school, as well as the documentary film by Hedvika Hlaváčková "Simple House" about the new building of ČVUT and its author Alena Šrámková, and the film by Jana Chytilová Critical Chair: Rostislav Švácha.
The exhibition is part of the broader celebrations marking the 40th anniversary of the restoration of the independent Faculty of Architecture at ČVUT in Prague.
