The Architect of the Year 2007 is UN Studio

The ArchitectenWerk server organized a competition called Architect of the Year 2007 for its tenth anniversary, where eleven offices were nominated. The winning studio of Ben van Berkel and Caroline Bos received the award at the Rotterdam NAi on July 7, 2007. The offices were judged based on five criteria: business leadership, sustainability, innovation, research, and customer friendliness. UN Studio ranked first in three of these categories. In the overall ranking, Rudy Uytenhaak came in second place and Venhoeven CS third. All of these offices are based in Amsterdam. The jury included architect Dolf Dobbelaar and designer Mick Eekhout, among others. The award is associated with a financial amount of 2500 Euro. Link>
