The new headquarters of OBERMEYER has received the prestigious title of Office of the Year 2026 in the category of Renovation

"We are incredibly happy with this success. Our goal was to create a contemporary and fully functional environment that reflects our more than 35-year tradition in the field while providing our people maximum comfort and inspiration," says Jiří Fousek, CEO of OBERMEYER.

The author of the sensitive architectural concept is the studio FADW (Fousek Architecture Design Workshop) led by architect Jan Fousek. "We wanted to bring our own functional design while also preserving the rhythm and regularity of the original architectural elements. That’s why we ultimately decided on transparent walls that connect to the original grid and support the genius loci of the entire space," explains Jan Fousek.

When Industrial Heritage Meets Modern Innovations

The design preserved the spirit of the original automotive factory, combining its industrial character with modern open space and top-notch acoustic comfort. The general supply of the space was provided by MORIS design, the furniture was supplied by cre8, and the overall reconstruction of the E Factory building was carried out by developer Mount Capital.

The E Factory building is part of the Pragovka Art District, which developer Mount Capital is gradually transforming into a modern urban district that connects offices, studios, culture, and public space. The renovation of historical buildings preserves the industrial heritage of the former Praga car factory and simultaneously creates quality facilities for innovative companies, creative professionals, and cultural institutions. The connection of business, architecture, and the artistic community is one of the main values that make Pragovka a unique place.

The Connection of Engineering, Community, and Art

Although the offices operate as an open space, they are cleverly divided for the needs of smaller design teams. Acoustic solutions are provided by designer soundproof panels that visually resemble art installations. OBERMEYER also plans to further connect its headquarters with the surrounding artistic world. "We are currently in discussions with several artists who have studios directly in Pragovka about borrowing their works for our space," adds Jiří Fousek.

The new offices perfectly reflect the DNA of the company behind projects such as the expansion of Westfield Černý Most or the upcoming completion of the Fourth Quadrant of Vítězné náměstí.
