The new exhibition will present photographs by Walter Zednicek, capturing the works of the Austrian architect Otto Wagner

The Austrian Cultural Forum in Prague will open an exhibition of photographs by Walter Zednicek on Friday, February 9, showcasing the buildings of the significant architect Otto Wagner.
Austrian photographer Walter Zednicek photographed Otto Wagner's buildings as Wagner would like to see them. It would be possible to show how later generations "uglyfied" some of his buildings. However, the aim of this exhibition is not to criticize later insensitive interventions but to present Otto Wagner, as he still has much to say today.
The importance of Otto Wagner's pedagogical work extends beyond the reach of his own creations. His collaborators and students spread and refined Wagner's architectural thinking throughout Central Europe, several of whom also in the Czech Republic: Josef Maria Olbrich, Josef Hoffmann, Josip Plečnik, Jan Kotěra, Leopold Bauer, and Hubert Gessner.

The exhibition titled Otto Wagner in the Photographs of Walter Zednicek will last at the Austrian Cultural Forum in Prague (Jungmann Square 18, Prague 1) until March 16. It will be open on working days from 10 AM to 1 PM and from 2 PM to 4 PM, and on Thursdays until 6 PM.
