I assume that the most well-known personality in the field of structural architecture is Cecil Balmond from the Arup company. The company Adam Kara Taylor is also involved in transforming architectural ideas into reality. It is not surprising that the progressive legacy of English high-tech architecture has nurtured, during its most productive years, a number of firms acting as gray eminences in the realization of countless unique projects.
The London agency The Building Centre, which presents building and architectural culture, showcased last month the work of a company specializing in construction structures, Price & Myers.
The exhibition, curated by Tim Lucas from the aforementioned company, offered visitors sketches, models, and photographs capturing the creative value of structurally motivated architecture. It highlighted how construction can be both enchanting and economical without unnecessary complicated processes.
The company was founded by gentlemen Sam Price and Robert Myers. In its 30 years of existence, they have participated in co-authoring more than 17,000 projects. The exhibition captured only a small fraction of their recent projects, examples of structural bridges and staircase elements.
