On Saturday, September 30, 2017, at 3:30 PM, the exhibition of the photographic project Andreja Thiel Lhotáková titled Monuments will take place at the Laufen Gallery in Prague, I.P. Pavlova 5. This project interprets some of the most significant buildings of the 20th century on Czech territory in a subjective manner, including those that are less known and overlooked. By stripping away distracting details, the essence of the architectural work remains. The absence of scale, with composition simplified to basic shapes and a feeling of disconnection between the building and its real environment, highlights the original architect's vision for the future building. The exhibition, which is part of the International Day of Architecture, will be opened by Adam Gebrian, followed by a screening of the film “Visual Acoustics” about architecture photographer Julius Shulman at 4:00 PM. You can view the photographs at the Laufen Gallery until November 3, 2017.
