Ceremonial announcement of the results of the XXIII. year of the international student competition for the best urban planning project On March 21, 2018, the results of the twenty-third year of the international student competition for the best urban planning project will be announced at the Faculty of Architecture of the Czech Technical University in Prague. The announcement, along with the opening of the traveling exhibition, will take place in the foyer of the Faculty of Architecture of the Czech Technical University from 2:00 PM. The projects will be displayed here until March 26, 2018, and will then be moved to other universities. This year's competition evaluated a total of 46 works - 12 projects came from the Czech Technical University in Prague, of which 7 were from the Faculty of Architecture and 5 from the Faculty of Civil Engineering, 10 proposals from the Faculty of Architecture STU in Bratislava, 18 from the Faculty of Architecture VUT in Brno, and 4 from the Wroclaw University of Technology. Newly, one submission each also came from the Czeska zemědělská univerzita in Prague and the Faculty of Art and Architecture TUL in Liberec. On January 12, 2018, the jury consisted of Ing. arch. Vanda Ciznerová (US Brno, AUUP ČR), Ing. arch. Petr Housa (CASUA), Václav Matoušek (HB Reavis), Ing. arch. Pavel Šváb CSc. (UAD Studio), Ing. arch. Alžbeta Sopirová, PhD. (FA STU in Bratislava), Doc. Ing. arch. Karel Havliš (FA VUT in Brno), Dr. Inž. Wawrzyniec Zipser (FA TU Wroclaw), Doc. Ing. arch. Jan Mužík, Csc. (FSV ČVUT in Prague), and prof. Ing. arch. Karel Maier, CSc (FA ČVUT in Prague). Ing. arch. Pavel Šváb, CSc. was elected as the chairman of the committee. The secretary of the competition, Ing. arch. Vít Řezáč, also attended the meeting. The competition is organized by the Institute of Spatial Planning of the Faculty of Architecture of the Czech Technical University in Prague under the auspices of the Association for Urbanism and Spatial Planning.
