Student Competition - City of Příbor

The city of Příbor has announced a student competition on the topic of conceptual architectural and urban planning solutions for the street spaces in the center of Příbor – the streets U Brány, Bonifáce Buska, Karla Čapka, Lidické, and the former street Zámečnické in relation to the revitalization of Sigmund Freud Square.

Competition assignment for students:
The task of the participant is to develop a conceptual architectural and urban planning solution for the street spaces in the center of Příbor – individually for the streets U Brány, Bonifáce Buska, Karla Čapka, Lidické, and the former street Zámečnické in relation to the revitalization of Sigmund Freud Square according to the defined area in the provided materials. The competition organizer expects a creative solution for the space connecting the historic center of the city and the creation of a lively space inviting visitors to the city.

Participants will receive the following attachments after submitting a binding application:
1. A snapshot of the cadastral map - in .dwg format
.
2. Elevation plan – in .pdf format
.
3. Photodocumentation of the current state
4. A copy of the Příbor Master Plan – in .pdf format - available for download at this website

5. Project intentions of the city of Příbor, i.e., revitalization of the monastery gardens and reconstruction of the cultural house, which are directly related to the area being addressed – in .pdf format

Required scope and content of the competition proposal:

1. Broader context 1:5000 to 1:2000

2. Functional division of areas 1:2000 to 1:1000

3. Main situation of the proposed solution 1:1000 to 1:500
4. Text component
5. Visualizations of individual parts in the necessary extent
The scope and content of the competition proposal must be processed and submitted in such a form that will clearly reveal the conceptual essence of the proposal.
Form of graphic and textual processing of the proposal: 1x color print + digitally on CD – individual drawings in .pdf format.
Participants in the competition will not be entitled to reimbursement for direct costs related to the development of the conceptual proposal for the competition.

The competition organizer warns that this is not an architectural competition in the sense of a design competition according to Act No. 137/2006 Coll., on public procurement.
