The subject of the competition is to prepare a competitive proposal for urbanistic, architectural, operational, and technical solutions for “Renovation of building no. 120 at Komenského Square in Pardubice”.
The proposals must respect the economic possibilities of the organizer, not only in the expected amount of investment costs of approximately 120 million CZK including VAT but also in a reasonable level of future operating costs, particularly in logical and effective operational layout and reasonable costs for energy needs and maintenance of both the interiors and exteriors of the building.

The purpose and mission of the competition is to find and reward the most suitable solution for the subject of the competition that meets the requirements of the organizer contained in these competition conditions and in the competition materials and subsequently award the winner, or possibly one of the awarded participants, a public contract for the preparation of the subsequent stages of project documentation (i.e., documentation for zoning and building permits, documentation for construction execution) and the performance of author supervision in a negotiation procedure without publication according to the provisions of § 23 para. 6 of Act No. 137/2006 Coll., on public procurement.
