Open calls for proposals for the modification of public spaces on 28th October Street – Opavská (Ostrava)

As part of the project Concept of the Urban Class 28 October-Opavská in Ostrava, the city studio MAPPA announces an open call for the development of proposals for modifications to 6 selected public spaces. The aim of the proposals is to quickly improve the quality of places that serve a large number of residents and visitors who move around the urban class on a daily basis. The transformation of these places should take place in the form of so-called acupuncture urbanism, which aims to work with the details of public space, clarity, reduction of visual smog, suitable furniture or artworks and other details that together create the quality of public space in the city. Proposals must allow for their implementation in a short time and will therefore have the character of non-construction modifications and maintenance work.
