Wooden House - Competition Results

The first prize in the category of family houses was awarded to the design by Petr Jureček and Michal Kotlas. No first prize was awarded in the category of apartment buildings.

public, anonymous, conceptual, single-round architectural and construction competition.

Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic in cooperation with other responsible ministries.

The subject of the competition was the preparation of a competition proposal for a low-energy family and/or apartment building with substantial use of technology based on wooden elements, products made from agglomerated wood, or modular systems based on wood.

To find the selection of the best comprehensive architectural solutions for low-energy wooden houses for living from the submitted competition proposals suitable for realization (i.e., the best concepts in terms of artistic, volumetric, spatial, operational, functional, technological, and structural considerations while taking into account energy intensity and the amount of implementation costs).
