The basic idea of the project, which will take place in the 650th anniversary of the birth of Master Jan Hus and the 30th anniversary of the Velvet Revolution, is to create, with the help of visual art, an image of the environment where discourse on the topic of truth was held in the context of Czech history. This environment will transform during the exhibition thanks to the performative contributions and interventions of architects and artists, offering further possibilities for interpreting the sometimes overused term "truth." The center of the project should become the wider area of the Bethlehem Chapel, including the lapidarium and the adjacent courtyard, which offers several possibilities for "truthful readings" of its history, which fundamentally influenced the perception of Czech history. Two significant personalities - Jan Hus and Václav Havel - are almost personified with the theme of truth, but even today one can find contemporary fighters "for truth." Truth remains unpopular, difficult; its proclaimer encounters misunderstanding, disinterest, or open hostility. Even visual art itself in a post-factual age is a medium where truth is very often quite complicated to identify.
The project involves collaboration from visual artists, architects, art historians, philosophers, and political scientists.
