The exhibition of the leading Dutch graphic designer Irma Boom focuses on her collaboration with architects and the design of books on architecture, design, and related topics.

The Prague showcase presents the work of Irma Boom primarily associated with architecture and design, such as book monographs and catalogs. A larger part of the exhibition will be dedicated to the long-term close collaboration of Irma Boom with the Rotterdam architectural firm OMA and its founder and director Rem Koolhaas, as well as the editing of the leading global architectural journal Volume, which is co-published by AMO, the research platform of OMA. However, works on other projects (Wiel Arets, Benthem Crouwel, MVRDV, Tabanlıoğlu Architects, Vitra, etc.) will not be overlooked.

Irma Boom (1960) is among the leading global book designers and has created more than 300 books for institutions such as the Museum of Modern Art and the Cooper Hewitt Museum in New York, the Serpentine Gallery in London, the UN, Chanel, Vitra, or the studio OMA of Rem Koolhaas, and personalities like Petra Blaisse, Sheila Hicks, or Olafur Eliasson. She has received many awards, including honors from Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands. Her books are found in the collections of many institutions (MoMA New York, Centre Pompidou in Paris, Art Institute of Chicago, Victoria and Albert Museum, London, etc.), and the Irma Boom Archive has been established at Amsterdam University. Irma Boom serves as a critic at Yale University School of Art.

Partners of the exhibition: Embassy of the Netherlands in the Czech Republic, Master & Master, Vitra, OMA, and Volume.
