The planned multifunctional arena in Pardubice has a building permit

Pardubice – The planned multifunctional hockey arena in Pardubice, which will accommodate up to 25,000 visitors during concerts, has received a building permit. The decision is on the municipal official board. The project is being prepared by the company of entrepreneur Petr Dědek, the majority owner of the hockey club Dynamo. The arena is intended to be built in the area of Nová Cihelna.

The permit pertains to the construction of a multifunctional hockey arena, a training hall, a hotel, a parking garage, and a showroom. It will also include a park, public spaces, transportation and service roads, delivery courtyards, and underground parking. There will also be an elevated pedestrian area connecting the main arena, training hall, and hotel.

The arena will have an elliptical floor plan, based on the arrangement of the seating around the ice surface. It will expand towards the city with additional facilities, including administration, short-term accommodation, a museum, and a fanshop. The main entrance to the arena will be on the southern side. On the northern side, there will be an entrance for employees and a delivery courtyard for the transport of goods and materials.

The arena will have facilities for players and performers, spectator areas, food and beverage services, storage, and technical support. It will also include offices and short-term accommodation for players, a swimming pool with wellness facilities, shops, and a museum with a fanshop for HC Dynamo. There will be parking in two underground levels primarily designated for VIP visitors and players, as well as spaces for technology.

The investor will pay billions of crowns for the construction of the arena. The territory had to deal with a municipal waste landfill. The project is also based on a planning agreement with the city. The document sets out the conditions for construction and divides responsibilities between the city and the investor. According to it, Pardubice will not contribute to the operation of the arena or the remediation of the old landfill in Nová Cihelna. If the investor fails to meet any of the commitments, sanctions may be imposed.
