Litomyšl – Litomyšl opened its renovated municipal stadium on Černá hora. The renovations began last September and cost 24 million crowns. The city received almost 18 million crowns from a grant from the National Sports Agency, the city council stated on its website.
The project supported by the grant included the reconstruction of changing rooms, toilets, and showers under the table tennis hall, the construction of an elevator to the hall, the renewal of the artificial surface on the athletic track, and drainage on the grass football field. In addition to the existing playgrounds, a new multifunctional playground was built next to the Na Výsluní pub. "In essence, we have fulfilled the last pending investment that architect Burian had planned in his study of the entire complex 30 years ago,” stated Mayor Daniel Brýdl (Generace 89).
Moreover, the city financed, from its own budget, the installation of blinds in the Jiskra hall and in the windows of the table tennis hall to prevent overheating during the summer months. A new passage was created from the campsite area to the stadium, and the path from the Na Výsluní pub to the artificial pitch amenities was completely renewed. Benches were added, the area around the historical water towers was cleared of overgrowth, and the buildings of the water towers are being restored.
The complex includes a covered grandstand, a football field, facilities for athletics, running tracks with an artificial surface, a field with artificial grass, a climbing wall, and a workout area. It also features the Jiskra sports hall, which provides facilities for football and basketball in the winter, with an extension for table tennis. The summer stadium has a covered grandstand for 528 seated and 104 standing spectators.
