Česká Kamenice - Česká Kamenice in the Děčín region is preparing the next stage of renovations for the cultural center. After a partial renovation of the interior, which created new spaces for the municipal library and café, attention will turn to the entrance and the surrounding area of the building. The city estimates costs around 40 million crowns, with the subsidy covering about 85 percent of the amount. This was reported to ČTK by the mayor of the approximately five-thousand inhabitants town, Jan Papajanovský (STAN).
"The entrance to the building and the surrounding area will be new. We will remove the old asphalt and create an area made of permeable green paving and trees, which will have half the character of a park and half of a square," described the planned changes the mayor. The future appearance of the entrance to the cultural center and its nearby surroundings was designed by the studio re:architekti.
The modified space will connect with the current way of use. It will be a pleasant and representative place for residents and visitors to the town. During the day, it will allow parking near the square, while in the afternoon it will primarily serve local school students, children from the nearby children's home, and the general public. The area is located in the urban conservation zone. The renovation is planned for the years 2027 to 2028.
In the future, the town hall is also preparing a renovation of the cultural hall and facade. Papajanovský stated that it is still unclear when the next stages could begin. "We are trying to secure grant funding," he added.
