Stretch fabric walls Smart Walls are an elegant partner for every interior challenge. Whether it’s about creating perfectly straight walls, ceilings, partitions, various shaped objects, or covering installations, large-format prints, backlighting, or effective acoustic regulation.
The Smart Walls technology is based on a sophisticated principle of stretched fabric to an invisible frame. This allows for a very wide range of applications in private and commercial interiors. Smart Walls ensure a perfectly flat surface and seamless geometric and curved shapes up to ten meters wide. The application is perfect for walls and ceilings; it can also be custom-made for ceilings, partitions, or hanging panels, providing a suitable solution for covering cables, ventilation, heating, uneven walls, or separating spaces and harmonizing sounds in the room. The certified Smart Walls fabric is long-lasting against sagging and smoothes or adds interesting shapes compared to wallpaper.
The special Smart Walls fabrics offer an infinite number of shades in both gloss and matte finishes, textures, and perforations, and can be printed, backlit, or acoustically adjusted to fit the project. Trouble-free installation and maintenance do not take too much time and do not require moving or covering furniture. We at Dekre are specialists in Smart Walls technology and are happy to advise you and recommend the most suitable solution for your interior. A quick, clean, and elegant result, including comprehensive service, professional implementation, and acoustic measurement certification, will be ensured by one of our experienced craftsmen - depending on the complexity of the project, even within ten days from the first meeting.
In collaboration with architect Tereza Dvořáková, we created the interior of the marketing agency Doblogoo in Prague's Vinohrady. For the entrance areas, we developed a Smart Walls solution with custom printing, which significantly improved the problematic acoustics of the room. The gray wall with a three-dimensional structure also serves as a bulletin board, which the agency uses for work every day.
Presentation at the ForArch Fair
At the ForArch fair, we showcased a wide range of possibilities for using Smart Walls fabric walls. Above all, the perfection of covering rounded corners and the ability to smoothly cover high radius with completely black fabric stood out, which is very difficult to achieve with other means. Other types of textures, prints, backlighting, and wall laminating were also present.
Residence at Krocínka
We successfully created the atmosphere of daylight in the residence at Krocínka thanks to Smart Walls backlit ceilings with adjustable light intensity. The elegance of the modernist building from the 1930s was also supported by the fabric striped walls, which visually enlarged the originally dark and cramped space and brightened it along with the illuminated ceiling.
Smart Walls Showroom (Poděbradská 56, Prague 9)
The hundred-year-old house was an ideal opportunity and a great challenge to present all the advantages of the broad portfolio of Smart Walls applications. The showroom features a full range of textures, colors, and placement options for the technology - stairs levitate in a continuous area of thirty square meters of fabric with a distinct gradient without a single seam, beneath which the load-bearing structure is hidden, a sliding wardrobe with an abstract motif continues freely along the surrounding walls, and the white surface instantly transforms into a projection screen. You can also see the quality of large-format printing, backlit ceilings, or various densities of textile structures here with your own eyes.
Reconstruction of a Log Cabin in Dešn
Elegantly covering the installations and avoiding significantly lowering the ceiling was the desire of the owners of the historic log cabin in Deštné. Therefore, we designed Smart Walls custom-made to fully highlight the century-old beams, not draw unnecessary attention, and take up only a minimal amount of space. Unlike covering with drywall which requires a necessary gap from the surface and a complicated installation, we relied on stretched textile frames closely following the substrate. Everything was completed in a matter of hours, efficiently, cleanly, and without the need to move or cover furniture. The white surface lit up the room and naturally blended into the simple interior of the cabin.
