New Flexi Lounge Chair: Comfort with Style

The company LD Seating has been collaborating with European designers for many years. Among the closest partners is the Italian studio Orlandini Design, which designed the first chair from the Flexi series in 2014. It quickly became one of the best-selling models of LD Seating and started a collaboration that successfully continues to this day.

"We designed the first Flexi model for LD Seating back in 2014. This marked the beginning of our long-term partnership. Over the years, the Flexi family has gradually expanded. In addition to simple chairs, we added conference chairs, armchairs, and ottomans. In 2024, we decided to design a new Flexi Lounge chair for the 10th anniversary of the first Flexi Light model. It retains the classic 'Flexi' shape but is wider, softer, has an entirely new frame, and several new timeless colors," explains designer Folco Orlandini.

Less visible, but more thoughtful

The new model retains the characteristic shape of Flexi chairs but comes with improved proportions, an elegant frame, and a thicker layer of foam for even greater comfort. The ergonomically shaped shell provides reliable support even during prolonged sitting, while the flexible backrest naturally adapts to your every movement.

"The Flexi Lounge is a chair with compact dimensions but exceptionally comfortable. We increased the thickness of the foam used to make the seating even softer and more pleasant. The backrest is, as always, flexible – that is characteristic of the entire series. We designed the new frame to be as clean as possible, with no visible joints," adds Orlandini.

The Flexi Lounge easily adapts to any interior – from hotel lobbies and restaurants to offices and lounge areas. The base is available in eight standard shades of powder coating, and you can choose upholstery from a rich selection of fabrics and faux leathers. A stylish detail is the side strip on the upholstery, which can match tone-on-tone or, conversely, contrastfully highlight the silhouette of the chair. The armrest part of the frame can also be complemented with oak armrests or covers made of faux leather. And if you long for a change over time? Simply reupholster the chair.
