Life can be black and white – fortunately! Under this slogan, Hager introduced its novelties at this year's second edition of the ARCHITECT@WORK trade fair in Prague, which took place at the Letňany exhibition center on June 17-18, 2026. Because the most modern technology of Hager products always goes hand in hand with thoughtful design, this year's Hager exhibition was completely in black and white. Visitors from the professional public were able to see for themselves the perfect visual harmony of switches, door communicators, and charging stations for electric vehicles, all bearing the Hager brand.
Switches A.1 and C.1 were revealed to the Czech architecture community for the first time by Hager. The new switches offer variations based on combinations of black and white colors, glossy and matte finishes, and sharp or rounded edges. "I believe that these new series of switches will be successful among Czech architects. Visitors from the professional community particularly appreciated the matte finish, which is already available in the basic versions of these switches and does not need to be specially ordered within the custom manufacturing program Manufaktura," reveals the reactions of the booth visitors Thomas Grund, CEO of Hager Electro Czech Republic.

Visitors to the Hager booth could also appreciate how wonderfully a switch and the Hager intercom view door communicator can look together on one wall. The Hager Intercom view interior units can again be chosen in black or white finishes, allowing them to perfectly match the switches and sockets used in the interior. Whether it's a smaller apartment building or a modern residential complex with up to 1000 housing units, Hager introduced its intercom communicators as a flexible and promising door communication system. Architects had the opportunity to admire not only the elegant appearance and quality technical solution but also the materially interesting designs of the outdoor stations, for example, made of black glass or light silver metal.

In black and white versions, Hager also presented on its booth charging stations for electric vehicles – from a small charger for family homes, witty one, to solutions for commercial buildings, witty park 2. Elegant design, subtle color scheme, quality materials, and of course, technological precision – these are all the reasons why charging stations are also worth selecting from Hager's portfolio.

"We have much more that we would like to present to the architectural public from our portfolio, but we are bound by strict exhibition rules," smiles Thomas Grund. The product exhibited at ARCHITEKT@WORK must be a true innovation – a new material, technology, function, or design approach. Every product undergoes evaluation by a professional jury composed of architects and designers before participating in the exhibition, which assesses primarily its innovativeness but also its relevance to colleagues in the field, quality, sustainability, or real benefit for design.

"The ARCHITECT@WORK exhibition presents a unique opportunity to meet so many inspiring people," summarizes Thomas Grund. "From countless conversations and stimulating dialogues with architects and designers, I was again convinced that at Hager we are moving in the right direction. Our new switches and other home technologies, unified into a consistent black and white design, sparked interest and hopefully, I can say, also positive responses. And this makes me personally very happy and fills me with hope for beautiful future collaboration," concludes Thomas Grund.
