Autodesk introduces the fully localized Revit Architecture 2009 to the Czech market and presents svobodaprostoru.cz, a new project about Revit

Autodesk, the global leader in 2D and 3D design software for manufacturing, construction, media, and entertainment, has announced the first fully localized version of Revit Architecture for the Czech market. Through this investment, Autodesk demonstrates the importance of the Czech market and its progressive technology Revit utilizing the BIM (Building Information Modeling) method. The company also announces the launch of the web project svobodaprostoru.cz. The site www.svobodaprostoru.cz, aimed at Czech architects and architecture students, provides a wealth of information including a complete overview of freely accessible workshops for Revit software, a summary of customer experiences with Autodesk, an offer of a 30-day free trial of the software, information on the Revit Open competition, and more.

The fully localized Revit Architecture software comes with content reflecting Czech-specific standards, norms, and customs. Architects and construction designers thus have documentation materials for building documentation tailored to Czech norms and requirements from the very start. The BIM method represents an integrated process based on coordinated, reliable information about the project, from design through construction to operational processes. With the help of the BIM method, architects, engineers, and designers can easily create fully coordinated construction documentation containing digital project information. These data are then used for more accurate visualization, simulation, and performance analysis regarding appearance and costs, allowing them to reliably deliver projects faster, more economically, and with a gentler impact on the environment.
