Advanced technologies in digital photography today allow us to view captured images on the computer in a different way, better, and more detailed. This has led to the establishment of a new field called "computational photography." This set of technologies requires a digital camera, a tripod, and special software, providing a number of useful tools for documenting exteriors, interiors, and architecture in general.
Although these software tools are computationally very demanding, paradoxically, everyone already has access to them, and what’s more: most tools are currently available for free (!) on the internet … It just requires understanding and realizing the possibilities of use. For photography enthusiasts, this opens up significant opportunities for expanding horizons in the field of digital photography processing.
In the presentation, we will show how to create gigapixel images and panoramas, how to create multi-perspective documentation of objects, and how to obtain images with a high dynamic range. Just come armed with basic computer skills (at a user level) and an understanding of basic digital photography concepts.
