Hungarian architecture is no longer just about Imre Makovecz and his organic school, as evidenced by issue 6/2008 of the architectural magazine Era 21, which was dedicated to the Hungarian scene. And to ensure that there is more than just a single piece of evidence, the editorial team of Era 21 has prepared a lecture and discussion tour featuring leading Hungarian and Czech architects and theorists for March. During three meetings with Professor Antal Puhl from the University of Debrecen, with architect, theorist, and cultural activist Bálint Kádár, the chief curator of the Hungarian issue of Era 21, and with Ján StemPEL, a graduate of the Budapest University of Technology and a current educator at the Faculty of Architecture of the Czech Technical University in Prague, Czech and Slovak enthusiasts will have the opportunity to get acquainted with the works and thoughts of several generations of contemporary Hungarian creators. Each twenty-minute presentation will be followed by a joint discussion.

The Prague meeting will take place on Wednesday, March 11 at 5 PM in the hall of the Hungarian Cultural Center (Rytířská 25-27, Prague 1),

the Brno meeting on Thursday, March 12 at 1 PM in the auditorium of the Faculty of Architecture of the Brno University of Technology (Poříčí 5, Brno)

and the Bratislava meeting on Thursday, March 12 at 6 PM in the auditorium of the Faculty of Architecture of STU (Námestie Slobody 19, Bratislava).

The organizers of the event are the magazine Era 21 and the Hungarian Cultural Center in Prague in cooperation with the Faculty of Architecture of Brno University of Technology and the Faculty of Architecture of STU Bratislava.
