A lecture by Jindřich Vybíral on the topic of Otto Wagner's students in Moravia and Silesia will take place at the Austrian Cultural Forum in Prague on Wednesday, May 23rd.

Jindřich Vybíral is a professor at the Prague Institute of Art and Design. Currently, his book Junge Meister (Young Masters) is being published by Böhlau, which, like the lecture, deals with the work of seven figures associated with Moravia and Silesia who gathered at the Otto Wagner School of Architecture at the Vienna Academy of Fine Arts. Among these architects are Josef M. Olbrich, Josef Hoffmann, Leopold Bauer, and Hubert Gessner, who gradually emerged as the top professionals in modern architecture in Central Europe.

The lecture in Czech will be held in the lecture hall of the Austrian Cultural Forum in Prague (Jungmannovo nám. 8, Prague 1) on Wednesday, May 23rd, at 6 PM.

The Austrian Cultural Forum in Prague, as part of the Austrian Embassy in the Czech Republic, aims to contribute to the provision of a faithful and comprehensive picture of Austria in the field of culture. In addition to presenting Austrian visual arts, design, architecture, music, literature, theater, film, new media, science, education, journalism, and other fields, the Austrian Cultural Forum serves as a link between Austrian and Czech cultures, as well as the cultures of other countries.
