The third year of the conference VIZKON 2019 will be visited by a number of notable personalities associated with architecture and the visualization field. Just like in previous years, there will be a wider range of topics, and the lectures will focus on the search for the ideal of visualization. The third year will be more practically oriented towards communication related to visualizations, architecture, and how visualizations are perceived by professionals and laypeople. Emphasis will also be placed on 3D modeling in practice and its future, as well as the quest for perfect expression in visualizations. There will traditionally be connections to drawing and its possible conjunction with visualization, photography and how to photograph architecture, or how to depict and thus visualize architecture. Last but not least, there will also be discussions on plants and the ethical implications of visualizations. Each block always includes a discussion section, so you don't have to worry about there not being space for questions and opening new topics.
Among the speakers associated with this theme, you will find Jakub Kolka, who is running the RenderTalk project, a podcast focused on rendering and visualizations. Oleg Maslovskyi from CG Academy will also speak and share his experiences in training architects and designers in visualization. Jan Kratochvíl, who is responsible for the most famous Czech architecture server that you are currently reading – Archiweb, will provide insights from his teaching experience at FA VUT and his studio. Tomáš Viera from DAM architekti will discuss communication within the office with colleagues, what content work an architect is responsible for, and how he experiences his work. Pavel Stojanov from GG Archico will talk about communication when commissioning visualizations.
The second main topic of the lectures will focus on the possibilities of modeling and data preparation for visualizations, as well as connections to parametric architecture and BIM. The speakers in this block will include Adam Preisler from the Poligoniq project, who will show you how to model correctly in Blender and what its capabilities are. The second speaker will be Jindřich Ráftl, who is creating a pavilion for EXPO 2020 with the Formosaaa studio! The third speaker – Miroslav Nevlida from Škoda Auto will also focus on connections to BIM, but will mainly showcase modeling using Rhino and Grasshopper, and comparisons with construction software. You can also look forward to demonstrations and a modeling course in Unreal Engine. This way, you can take away a comprehensive idea of how to create professional models, but you will also certainly learn a number of general recommendations for all software. In the evening, various workshops will follow these lectures, which you can participate in. Of course, a supportive section will be included on this topic, where you will traditionally find programs (in addition to those mentioned above) such as SketchUp, ZW CAD, Edificius, Lumion, Vray, Revit, and 3DS Max.
The third guiding theme of the conference is the pursuit of perfection and perfect visualization; however, the lectures will also be practically focused, so don’t worry. Matůš Nedecký from the legendary studio Flying Architecture will speak here. Patrik Josef Petruška will showcase the ideals beyond the borders of the Czech Republic in the field of Saudi Arabia and what specifications visualizations must have there and how they differ from our local ones. Jan Lankaš and David Straka from LAN studio will present insights from the practice of creating visualizations for the most famous Czech projects, for example, from architect Eva Jiřičná or the duo Kryštof-Chybík. As part of the expansion of horizons, Tomáš Müller will also present his digital art, which will take us beyond our reality, or perhaps deeper into it.
The admission fee is currently CZK 3,500 excluding VAT for standard participation, which includes everything from accommodation, food, evening entertainment, and even 2 hours of wellness!
